IN
THE NAME OF ALLAH
"Fatima is a part
of me. Whoever makes her angry, makes me angry."
- Sahih al-Bukhari,
Arabic-English, v5, Traditions #61 and #111
On
Wednesday 30th of Safar, year 11 Hijri, with only two days after
the death of the Greatest Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (saww), the enemies
of Allah and His Messenger did not waste time to embark on yet another
assault on the Ahlul-Bayt (as).
The enemies of Allah raided
the house of Fatimat al-Zahra (as), set fire to the door of the house,
and crushed Fatimat al-Zahra (as), between the door and the wall.
Fatimat al-Zahra (as), who was heavily pregnant at the time, sustained a
number of horrific injuries, as a result of which she died later. Her
unborn baby son – the third Sibt of Rasolallah (saww); whom Rasolallah (saww) had
named Mohassen, died instantly. Some of the injuries that the beloved
daughter of Rasolallah sustained were:
Not
being satisfied with all that, on entering the house, the assailants did not
leave the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad alone. They subjected her to a
barrage of brutal assaults, by:
-
-
slapping her face,
-
-
throwing her to the ground,
-
-
repeatedly punching and kicking her
-
-
as well as hitting the heavily pregnant Lady Fatima with the side of
their swords.
At
the same time as the assault on Fatimat al-Zahra (as), an assault was also
taking place against her husband Amir-ul-Mu'minin Imam Ali (as), who had come
to her defence. The attackers eventually managed to disarm and apprehend
Amir-ul-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (as). As Fatima (as) lay unconscious on the ground,
the assailants put a noose around Imam Ali’s neck, violently dragged him
through the streets of Medina so as to force him to declare his Bay'ah (the
homage of allegiance) to the illegal and self-declared caliph . . .

"...and the transgressors
will surely find out [on the Day of Judgement] what will be their lot."
[Holy Qur'an,
26:227]
May the curse
of Allah be upon those who oppressed Al-Zahra (as) by action or saying.
