“When the members of the ‘Husein Day’ Committee asked me to accept the Chairmanship of it, I had not the least hesitation to accept it, since I considered it an honour to Co-operate in a cause that was so noble and right.

The sacrifice that Imam Husein gave in the desert of Karbala thirteen hundred years ago is an example to us all, giving us impulse and instruction to do our bit when circumstances oblige us to face evil against truths.

Imam Husein with his 72 followers achieved everlasting victory in his defeat, which it is impossible for any great force to acquire at any cost. Imam Husein proved to the world for all times that numbers do not count when the real spitiy is in action with a definite purpose and determination.” – Byramjee Jeejeebhoy
