“Sacrifices have not only sustained civilization, but even enriched and advanced it. Imam Husein’s sacrifice was such; and it has added to the listre not only of the Islamic thought action, but to that of the whole mankind.

And in the present times, when individual and racial hatred is the breath of life, and killing – a creed, are we not bound headlong for entire destruction if we do not imbibe in thought, and impart, by solid action, the spirit and sacrofice that is our heritage from Imam Husein and other saints of his illustrious class? Let us therefore determine most piously on this day to make the most appropriate use of that sacrifice for the restoration of peace and happiness in our life and the life of all Humanity.” - Natwarsinghji
