“It gives me very great pleasure to know that “Husein Day” is being observed throughout India in commemoration of the Sacrifice and Martyrdom of Hazarat Imam Husein at Kerbala 1300 years ago. This selfless sacrifice at the altar of Truth and Religion in face of such overwhelming odds is without parallel in the history of mankind.

Many great authors have written much on the Philosophy and greatness of this incomparable martyrdom and yet this cannot be all.

Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti has spoken in respect of the Martyr as the very foundation of the Unity of Allah and as the great defender of the Faith. It is beyond my power to add anything.” - Mohammad Nasirulmulk
