“The heroic defense of Imam Husein (peace be on him) with his little chivalrous band of faithful companions against the Satanic and multitudinous hordes of Yazid, was in no way for any purpose of satisfying an ambition for power, but it was for the protection of the tenets of Holy Islam. Even the butchery of his entire family including innocent children was not deterrant to him in pursuing the path of righteousness. It ultimately demanded his own head and he (Husein) gave it ungrudgingly in the path of God. The martyrdom of Imam Husein teaches us a great lesson and is a beacon light of true guidance for the whole world.” – Saifuddin
