10th Shawwal - The start of the Ghaibat-e-Kubraa

10th Shawwal is the date on which our Living Imam became invisible.

Our Holy Imam "S'aahibuz Zaman" is reported to have gone into the underground room in the house of his father in Samarrah (now in Iraq), when he came to know that a plan to kill him had been finalized by his
enemies. This underground room is called "Sardaab". It is a symbolic place where the friends and followers of the "Aal-e-Muhammad" perform the Ziyaarat of the Holy Imam.

Following is the ZIYAARAT OF IMAM AL-QAIM which have been strongly recommended to welcome his inevitable return. This Ziyaarat is recommended for each Friday, as it is associated with our Living Imaam
(A.S.) in particular because he was born on Friday and is expected to come back from his temporary seclusion on Friday.

ALLAAHUMMA S'ALLI A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN'W WA AALI MUH'AMMAD
O Allaah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.
BISMILLAAHIR-RAH'MANIR-RAH'EEM
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. 
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA H'UJJATALLAAHI FEE ARZ'IHEE
Peace be on you, O the decisive argument of Allaah on His earth!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA A'YNALLAAHI FEE KHALQIHEE
Peace be on you, O the ultimate link of Allaah with the mankind!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA NOORALLAAHIL LAD'EE YAHTADEE BIHIL MUHTADOONA
Peace be on you, O the truth and enlightenment of Allah whom the guided on teh Right Path follow and imitate,
WA YUFARRAJU BIHEE A'NIL MOO-MINEENA
and who gives heart, joy and confidence to the faithfuls!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA AYYUHAL MUHAD'D'ABUL KHAAA-IFU
Peace be on you, O the just, pure and refined, rendered formidable!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA AYYUHAL WALIYYUN NAAS'IH'U
Peace be on you, O the "Wali" (beloved favourite of Allaah, a friend, a helper) who always gives sincere advice!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA SAFEENATAN NAJAATI
Peace be on you, O the means and medium of liberation and assurance!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA AY'NAL H'AYAATI
Peace be on you, O the spring and essence of life! 
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAYKA WA A'LAA AALI BAYTIKAT' T'AYYIBEENAT'
T'AAHIREENA
Peace be on you, Blessings of Allaah be on you and on your pure and pious family. 
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA A'JJALALLAAHU LAKA MAA WA-A'DAKA MINAN NAS'RI WAZ'UHOORIL AMRI
Peace be on you, May Allaah fulfil, at once, in advance, the promise He made with you - to shower mercy and make
distinctly visible (your) leadership.
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA MAWLAAYA ANAA MAWLAAKA A'ARIFUN BI'OOLIYAAAKA WA UKHRAAKA 
Peace be on you, O Loving Protector! I am your friend and follower, well aware of your priority and ultimate purpose.
ATAQARRABU ILALLAAHI TA-A'ALAA BIKA WA BI-AALI BAYTIKA 
I come near Allaah, the Highest High, through you and your family.
WA ANTAZ'IRU Z'UHOORAKA WA Z'UHOORAL HA'AQQI A'LAA YADAYKA 
I look forward to be there when you come, at your disposal for making known the truth.
WA AS-ALULLAAHA AN YUS'ALLIYA A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN'W WA AALI MUH'AMMAD
I request Allaah to send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad,
WA AN YAJ-A'LANEE MINAL MUNTAZ'IREENA LAKA
and make room for me amid those who have fixed the look upon you,
WAT TAABI-E'ENA WAN NAAS'IREENA LAKA A'LAA AA'-DAAA-IKA
who shall comply with your instructions and help you against your enemies,
WAL MUSTASH-HADEENA BAYNA YADAYKA FEE JUMLATI AWLIYAAA-IKA
and let me be present before you alongwith all your friends.
YAA MAWLAAYA YAA S'AAH'IBAZ ZAMAAN
O loving protector! O the Man of the moment!
S'ALAWAATULLAHI A'LAYKA WA A'LAA AALI BAYTIKA
Blessings of Allaah be on you and on your family.
HAAD'AA YAWMUL JUMU-A'H WA HUWA YAWMUKAL MUTAWAQQA-U' FEEHI Z'UHOORUKA
Today is Friday, a day you are expected to come;
WAL FARAJU FEEHEE LIL MOO-MINEENA A'LAA YADAYKA
the faithfuls will be free of cares and troubles when you shall arrive,
WA QATLUL KAAFIREENA BI-SAYFIKA
and with one strike shall put an end to the intrigues of the infidels.
WA ANAA YAA MAWLAAYA FEEHEE Z'AYFUKA WA JAARUKA
I, O the Loving Friend, in these hours, seek your hospitality and friendship.
WA ANTA YAA MAWLAAYA KAREEMUN MIN AWLAADIL KIRAAMI
You, O my Loving friend, are kind and generous, a true son of the kind and generous forefathers,
WA MAAMOORUN BIZ' ZI'YAAFATI WAL IJAARAH FA-AZ'IFNEE WA AJIRNEE
always inclined by nature to be hospitable and friendly. So give me a warm welcome and make friendship with me.
S'ALAWAATULLAAHI A'LAYKA WA A'LAA AHLI BAYTIKAT' T'AAHIREEN
