• Date of death: - On 10th Muharram, 61 AH.
• Cause of death: Martyrd at the age of 57 years old
• Buried: - In Karbala, in Iraq, where his sacred shrine stands.

2nd Imam Hassan(as)

Abu Fadhl Al-Abbass(as) the Champion of Karbala.

He was brutally martyred unjustly by the swords of the army of Yazeed on the 10th of Muharram on Saturday in the year 61 after Hijrah in Karbala, Iraq.

His son the Fourth Imam Ali Zain Al-Abdeen(as) prepared his father's decapitated and mutulated naked body, after being left in the battle field for three days, and buried him and all his faithfull followers, where his shrine stands now.

The Holy Prophet(pbuh&hf) has said in his praise

"Hussain is from me and I am from Hussain."

He also said this about His grandsons,

"My two grandsons are the delights of my eyes."

He had also said,

"Hassan and Hussain are the leaders of all the youths in Paradise."

"Hassan and Hussain are both Imams!
Wheather they will assume this position publicly or not.".

Many nights Imam Hussain(as) would be seen carry sacks of flour, food and clothing to the poor and the needy

Imam Hussain(as) was a very kind and foebearing personality

He revived through, his one of a kind revolution. The Islamic Sharia and the religion of his Grandfather. In fact, he did a great service to the whole world.

He sacrificed himself for the sake of Islam , the dominated and the weak. His courageous uprising saved the religon and let it thrive till this very day.

He is the Leader of the all the Martyrs and the best amongst all the people after his elder brother.
