Biography
Sayyid Hasan Tahiri
was born In Khurram Aabad in 1938. After finishing the primary school, he entered
Kamaliyya Religious School, where he studied the books Jami`ul Muqaddimat and Al-Suyouti
within two years. After that, Tahiri migrated to Qom and finished advanced level studies
within seven years, including the second volume of Kifayatul Usool, which is a preliminary
for the highest level of Fiqh (jurisprudence); he studied under Imam Khumayni. For some
time, Khurram Aabadi benefited from the knowledge of Ayatollah Uzma Boroujerdi, especially
in the subject of judicial law. He also attended the lectures of Ayatollah Muhaqqiq Damad
and Agha Murtadha Ha'iri Yazdi, while engaged in teaching intermediate-to-advanced level
studies.
After the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyid Hasan Tahiri Khurram Aabadi
became a member of the Assembly of Seminary Teachers in Qom, a member of the
Constitutional Assembly of Experts, a representative of the Luristan Province, Imam
Khumayni's representative to Pakistan, and a general director of the seminaries.
At present, Khurram Aabadi is the chairman of The Council of Experts (for
Leadership). He is also teaching the Kharij stage in Fiqh (jurisprudence) and Usool
(principles) in the Islamic Seminary of Qom. |
